Rock, Paper, Scissors, a short film featuring Oleksandr Yatsenko, won the BAFTA Awards as Best British Short Film. In 2024, Yatsenko made his UK television debut with a recurring role in the drama series The Tattooist of Auschwitz, based on Heather Morris's bestselling novel, which aired on Sky TV and Peacock.

He also played a leading role in The Viy at Hamburg's Thalia Theater, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kirill Serebrennikov.

Currently, Yatsenko has completed filming for a recurring role in the upcoming Amazon Prime series The Assassin, directed by two-time IFTA winner Lisa Mulcahy.
